Connect with God · Connect with Self · Connect with Others
After more than 30 years in ministry and leadership, one conviction has become unmistakably clear:
Most leadership problems are not leadership problems.
They are heart problems.
C3 Healthy Leadership was created to help leaders reconnect with God, discover emotional and spiritual health, and build stronger relationships so they can lead with integrity, resilience, and purpose.
Because healthy leaders don't just build successful organizations — they create healthy cultures that transform families, churches, organizations, and communities.
"And you must love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, all your mind, and all your strength. The second is equally important: Love your neighbor as yourself. No other commandment is greater than these."
Mark 12:30–31
Why C3 Healthy Leadership Exists
Leadership is more than a position—it is a sacred stewardship of influence.
Every day, leaders carry the responsibility of guiding people through uncertainty, conflict, growth, and change. Yet many leadership development programs focus almost exclusively on improving skills, strategy, or performance while overlooking the condition of the leader's own heart.
At C3 Healthy Leadership, we believe lasting transformation begins from the inside out.
Our framework is built upon three foundational relationships:
Connect with God. Connect with Self. Connect with Others.
When leaders are spiritually grounded, emotionally healthy, and relationally aligned, they lead with greater clarity, wisdom, resilience, and authenticity. Healthy leaders cultivate healthy cultures where trust grows, relationships flourish, teams work together more effectively, and people experience genuine transformation.
Through keynote speaking, executive coaching, leadership development, behavioral assessments, organizational consulting, and retreats, C3 equips pastors, executives, nonprofit leaders, churches, businesses, and leadership teams with practical tools that strengthen both the leader and the culture they influence.
Our mission is simple:
Help leaders become healthy from the inside out so they can lead healthy people, healthy teams, and healthy cultures.
Because leadership is never just about what we accomplish.
It's about who we become.

Assess.
Align.
Act.
Multiply.
For more than three decades, I have had the privilege of serving as a pastor, keynote speaker, conference facilitator, leadership coach, and Military Chaplain. Across every season of ministry and leadership, one calling has remained constant: helping people discover the healing, freedom, and transformation found in Jesus Christ.
My passion for healthy leadership began long before I entered ministry.
As a young man, I witnessed God radically transform my own family. After years of addiction and brokenness, my parents encountered Jesus Christ, and their lives were completely restored. Watching God redeem what once seemed impossible became the foundation of my faith and ultimately shaped the direction of my life.
Throughout the years, I have served churches, nonprofit organizations, military personnel, community leaders, and families across the United States. Those experiences revealed a consistent pattern: the greatest leadership challenges are rarely caused by a lack of talent, vision, or strategy. More often, they are rooted in unresolved pain, emotional exhaustion, fractured relationships, or spiritual drift.
That realization became the catalyst for founding C3 Healthy Leadership.
Today, I have the privilege of helping leaders strengthen not only what they do, but who they are. My approach integrates biblical truth, emotional health, practical leadership principles, behavioral assessments, and more than thirty years of real-world leadership experience to help individuals and organizations experience lasting transformation.
Whether speaking to a conference of leaders, coaching an executive, serving alongside military personnel, or equipping a local church, my passion remains the same:
To help people become the healthy leaders God created them to be.
Because I believe our greatest influence will never flow from our position.
It will always flow from the condition of our hearts.
Matthew Friese
Founder & President, C3 Healthy Leadership
"Helping leaders connect with God, connect with themselves, and connect with others—because healthy leaders create healthy cultures."
"My wife Noelle and I are blessed with a large family, including eight children, three daughters-in-law, and seven grandchildren! We share a deep commitment to serving Christ and discipling others for His Kingdom and glory!"

"A good person produces good things from the treasury of a good heart, and an evil person produces evil things from the treasury of an evil heart. What you say flows from what is in your heart."
Luke 6:45
